Requirements

2 years of experience in septic tanks, cesspools, and other waste storage systems minimum
Valid CDL license
Experience managing a pump truck fleet vehicle and product inventory
Customer Service Experience required
Must pass motor vehicle & background check and drug screen
Superb customer service skills, honest, dependable, and reliable
Physical dexterity

Responsibilities

Operate the septic pump truck to locate and remove waste from septic tanks, cesspools, and other waste storage systems.
Ensure the pump truck is well-maintained, including checking fluid levels, inspecting hoses, and cleaning equipment after each use.
Plan efficient routes to service septic tanks.
Operate the truck safely on roads, especially when maneuvering in tight spaces or backing up to access tanks.
Interact with homeowners, business owners, and property managers, being courteous and professional while explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
Collect payment directly from customers.
Maintain accurate records of each service call, including the location, date, and amount pumped.
Notify supervisors or repair technicians if any problems arise during pumping (e.g., damaged tanks, clogs, leaks).
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and boots to protect against exposure to waste materials.
Follow proper hygiene procedures to prevent contamination.
Be prepared to respond to spills, leaks, or other unexpected situations during pumping operations.
