About The Position

The Clinical Program Coordinator RN coordinates, implements, and continuously improves designated specialty clinical programs within an assigned region, supporting alignment with system-level standards and strategic priorities across the care continuum. The role promotes high-quality, evidence-based patient care through program development, regulatory readiness, performance improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The coordinator partners with physicians, nursing leadership, operational leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to advance clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities include coordinating education, monitoring quality metrics, supporting accreditation and regulatory requirements, and facilitating data-driven improvement efforts for specialty clinical programs. The role works with regional and system leadership to promote consistency in program standards while addressing regional operational needs, and supports program sustainability through best practices, coordinated activities, and enterprise-wide performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Three years of clinical nursing experience in a specialty area relevant to the program being coordinated, such as stroke, trauma, burn, or another designated service line.
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques, including the ability to transmit, receive, and accurately interpret information and needs.
Ability to use partnership-oriented language with patients and families and engage them in their health and health care.
Knowledge of how to convey respect and collaborate with each patient, family, or designated care partner.
Knowledge of people with diverse backgrounds and the ability to convey respect and connect effectively.
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; New Jersey RN licensure is specified.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field.
Experience with specialty program standards, accreditation requirements, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Support regulatory and accreditation readiness by ensuring compliance with applicable standards and preparing for internal and external audits, site visits, and accreditation reviews.
Coordinate program performance improvement activities, identify opportunities for improvement, implement evidence-based practices, monitor outcomes, and work with leadership on action plans.
Monitor program performance indicators to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Collect, analyze, and maintain clinical program data for quality improvement, regulatory reporting, and organizational performance metrics.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating program performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
Facilitate interdisciplinary program meetings, case reviews, and quality committees.
Coordinate education and training on program standards, clinical guidelines, and best practices for staff across the care continuum.
Participate in developing, reviewing, and maintaining program policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
Promote evidence-based practice and disseminate clinical guidelines and program standards across participating sites.
Serve as a resource to staff and leadership on program requirements, clinical guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
