About The Position

Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) is seeking experienced attorneys with a passion for the separation of powers and individual liberty to join their Separation of Powers practice group. This role involves identifying and litigating cutting-edge constitutional cases across the country to challenge the administrative state and fight against federal and state agencies that abuse their power. The firm is looking for natural leaders who can help elevate PLF attorneys and contribute to shaping PLF's strategy. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile cases, engage in public speaking and media appearances, and publish scholarly articles, all while working with a team of top-notch attorneys and having the resources to execute bold ideas.

Requirements

3-6 years of experience
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
A knowledge of, and passion for, the ideas of freedom and individual liberty
A strong work ethic
A willingness to travel
Litigation experience
A clerkship or work with a state or federal agency

Nice To Haves

A deep knowledge of the moral and constitutional basis for the Constitution’s structural protections is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

Generate and lead high-profile cases in PLF’s Separation of Powers practice group.
Identify and litigate emerging separation of powers theories to shape PLF strategy.
Give speeches, appear in media, and publish op-eds and scholarly articles on cutting edge issues in administrative and constitutional law.
Work on teams with other attorneys, applying skills, knowledge, and passion.
Generate and litigate high-impact cases, taking ownership of established cases and developing new ones.
Develop successful strategies to ensure continued victories.
Speak with organizations, trade groups, academics, students, and the public to advance strategic goals.
Write briefs, op-eds, journal articles, blog posts, and more for various audiences.
