About The Position

We're looking for an SEO/AEO expert who wants to be at the forefront of the fast-changing search landscape. This role will lead innovative SEO and AI search strategies for some of our biggest clients, driving visibility across Google and emerging answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude. Working alongside our Strategy, Content, and Paid teams, you'll turn cutting-edge ideas into measurable impact while helping evolve the future of our SEO offering.

Requirements

7+ years of experience developing successful organic search strategies
Proven SEO veteran with experience developing and executing a winning strategy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Leadership experience and passion for mentoring and developing a team
Ability to implement a data-driven strategy but flexible enough to pivot when needed.
An SEO leader with experience directing a team, planning and implementing SEO/AEO/GEO strategies and growing organic search for a portfolio of Fortune 500 clients.
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise to thrive in complex and challenging client environments.
Ability to provide subject-matter expertise across various internal departments and in support of sales or client services as needed.
A passion for the industry and thirst for knowledge. Keeping current with the industry landscape and collaborating with team leaders to maintain cutting-edge SEO and GEO strategies for our clients.

Responsibilities

Leading the day-to-day delivery of SEO and AEO work for some of our largest clients, from initial technical and visibility audits to tactical sitewide and page-level recommendations.
Developing and maintaining annual 12-month strategic roadmaps for our biggest SEO/AEO clients.
Managing and improving the crawlability, indexation, and Knowledge Graph visibility of client domains through structured data and E-E-A-T alignment.
Collaborating closely with Strategy, Paid, Content, and other teams to ensure SEO/AEO initiatives integrate seamlessly with wider digital strategies.
Working closely with VP of SEO to advance service line offering, process, and deliverables, including work templates and SOPs.
Running tests to grow mentions and citations AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude).
Assisting with coaching and mentoring Phoenix team to strengthen capabilities and awareness across the agency.
