About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. The selected candidate will be responsible for the integration and test of hardware, software, and firmware test stations used for risk reduction and development of GN&C software. The selected candidate will also be involved in defining test set requirements and ensuring design and performance meet acceptance test procedure standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline.
Systems Engineer (T02): Minimum 2 years of related experience; 0 years with a Master’s or PhD.
Principal Systems Engineer (T03): Minimum 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master’s; or 1 years with a PhD.
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
1+ year's of experience supporting requirement development or verification.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Python, MATLAB, or other test scripting SW or tools.

Responsibilities

Integration and test of hardware, software, and firmware test stations used for risk reduction and development of GN&C software.
Defining test set requirements and ensuring design and performance meet acceptance test procedure standards.
Define test requirements and test objectives, using Systems Engineering principles.
Assist the team in the development of integration and test documentation (test plans, test procedures and test reports).
Participate in the execution of the integration, test, and assembly of the test sets in preparation for developmental flight testing.
Support the development and implement testing methods and equipment.
Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of integration and test activities.
Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build or hardware component.
Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
