About The Position
The Sensory and Consumer Science Temporary Associate is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all technical databases, sitting on stability and taste panels as needed to train as a taster, as well as all logistics required in seeing product arrives safely to consumer testing and/or internal tastes. The Sensory and Consumer Science team is a multi-disciplinary function requiring expertise in the fields of sensory science, beer tasting, brewing, consumer behavior, statistics and analytics, psychology and physiology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Natural Science, Applied Stats/Data Science, Food Science, Physiology, Psychology preferred
- Data collection and data analytics software skills such as: EyeQuestion, Fizz or Compusense, XLSTAT, R, Python a plus
- Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills. Learning agile. Collaborative and strong team spirit. Likes coaching and training. Excellent listener
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and planning skills with a pragmatic mindset
- Ability to work in an environment in which priorities, project scope, and time schedules will be set and adjusted often
Responsibilities
- Manage and document the approval process for all products being tested with consumers
- Work autonomously to maintain product inventories, technical databases, project dashboards, and work with global and local partners to keep all shared project folders current
- Regularly oversee all logistical process involved in receiving and shipment of product samples to external and/or internal tastes as needed
- Manage annual global technical evaluation of largest share products in both the US and Canada
