This internship focuses on applied Research & Development within the Sensor Engineering and Phenomenology Group. The intern will analyze tactical and simulation data, develop system concepts, and contribute to defensive capabilities for the U.S. The role involves working in a creative environment with engineers, physicists, and computer scientists to solve challenging technical national security problems. The intern will gain experience in analyzing data from live-fire test events, developing physics-based simulations, applying machine learning and signal processing, developing novel instrumentation for RF signal measurements, and advancing skills in signal processing, electromagnetics, software development, and boundary-layer meteorology. Communication of results to technical leads, colleagues, and managers is also a key aspect of the role.
