Sensor Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory•Cambridge, MA
•Onsite

About The Position

Draper is an independent, nonprofit research and development company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Sensor Electrical Engineering interns support research and development of precision inertial guidance instruments for next-generation guidance applications. Interns are matched with a team based on their skills, experience, interests, and relevant background, and work with senior technical staff on various programs. The role contributes to national security and advances technology through collaborative, results-oriented work. Students participate in product development, including design and prototyping, analysis and simulation, modeling, and testing. Work may involve instrumentation electronics such as low-noise operational amplifiers, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, and analog filtering; accelerometers, gyroscopes, and other sensors, including MEMS; printed circuit board layout, routing, integration, and testing; and digital systems using FPGAs, microcontrollers, and ASICs for signal, image, and data processing. Interns are expected to communicate their work orally and through written memos and presentations. The position runs during the summer months of 2027.
