About The Position

Overwatch Imaging is hiring a Sensor Autonomy Engineer for its Tactical Applications products. The role designs and implements software and firmware that transform high-level user inputs and raw sensor data into real-time customer intelligence. The engineer works hands-on with prototype and low-rate production automated imaging systems, developing, testing, and deploying onboard sensor autonomy, image processing and AI algorithms, embedded hardware drivers, image manipulation software, user interfaces, and data post-processing tools. These systems must operate within the size, weight, power, and latency constraints of tactical environments. The position leads the design, development, and maintenance of complex software applications and may provide technical leadership by mentoring and managing junior and mid-level software engineers. Work includes mathematical modeling and analysis; geospatial imagery optimization; payload embedded software; interfaces between Overwatch payloads and external systems; and automated software build, test, and deployment tools. This is a full-time, in-office role in Nashville, Tennessee; remote candidates are not being accepted. Applicants must be authorized to work permanently in the United States. Employment is contingent on the ability to obtain any necessary export authorization following the company’s export compliance assessment.
