About The Position

The Seniors Activities Coordinator plans and coordinates daily senior programming at Keystone’s Merriam Park and West 7th Street community center sites. This position works closely with the Senior Services Director to develop, evaluate, and support Keystone's active senior programs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with Seniors and volunteers in a community setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills connecting the community to events and programming.
  • Experience working with providers and services with a focus on the Seniors community.
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc...) and other software technology (Zoom).
  • Reliable transportation access as programming will be held at multiple sites.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • Silver Sneakers program experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule activities for older adults for both the Merriam Park and the West 7th community center locations.
  • Travel between community centers to lead or coordinate activities, potentially daily.
  • Order supplies and request room set-up for activities.
  • Evaluate and develop new programs with the Senior Services Director.
  • Assist with developing promotional materials and marketing to the community.
  • Write content and develop the activities calendar for the quarterly newsletter.
  • Coordinate delivery of newsletters to community partners and businesses.
  • Meet regularly with the senior services team around planning and evaluation.
  • Coordinate schedules and required paperwork for outside instructors and guest performers/ educators.
  • Assist Senior Services Director with participant evaluations and surveys.
  • Direct seniors or caregivers to the Keystone Senior Services team for resources upon request.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
  • Participate in agency meetings as required.
  • Attend trainings as appropriate for your position.
