About The Position

The Senior Yard Staff safely receives, merchandises, and tracks inventory; operates material handling equipment; and facilitates check-out of items. The role uses heavy mechanical aptitude to repair and maintain equipment and may be performed at customer locations, RB Global facilities, and/or government locations. Strict adherence to Ritchie Bros. customer service standards is expected.

Requirements

• Good customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• May act as a lead or coordinate assigned activities.
• Receive and release inventory, including checking items in and out.
• Perform joint physical inventories at government locations.
• Use systems to track and process inventory.
• Drive and operate heavy and light equipment.
• Perform facility inspections using checklists and provide housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary.
• Perform equipment maintenance and heavy repairs.
• Merchandise and inspect items for sale.
• Boost equipment.
• Perform complex demilitarization and deidentification.
• Check equipment fluid and fuel levels.
• Assist in coordinating logistics.
• Interact with customers.
• Travel to other locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
