About The Position

Senior Yard Staff safely receive and merchandise inventory, maintain inventory accountability, operate material handling equipment (MHE), and facilitate item check-out. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude to repair and maintain equipment. Duties may be performed at customer locations, RB Global facilities, and/or government locations. Strict adherence to Ritchie Bros.' customer service standards is expected.

Requirements

• Good customer service skills with internal and external customers.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• May act as a lead or coordinate assigned activities.
• Receive and release inventory by checking items in and out.
• Perform joint physical inventories at government locations.
• Use systems to track and process inventory.
• Drive and operate heavy and light equipment.
• Perform facility inspections using checklists and provide housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary.
• Perform maintenance and heavy repairs on equipment.
• Merchandise and inspect items for sale.
• Boost equipment.
• Perform complex demilitarization and deidentification.
• Check fluid and fuel levels on equipment.
• Assist in coordinating logistics.
• Interact with customers.
• Travel to other locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
