About The Position

We're hiring a Senior Workplace Project Manager on a contract basis to lead the planning, design, and delivery of our new NYC and Cambridge, MA offices, with a target move-in of summer 2027. This is a defined-scope engagement with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role. You'll own both projects end-to-end and serve as Suno's owner's representative throughout design and construction. You'll report to the Director of Workplace Experience & Real Estate, and work closely with Finance, IT, Legal, and all our external real estate and architect partners across both locations.

Requirements

  • Approx 5-8 years of experience managing office build-outs or tenant improvement projects, ideally at a tech company or in a client-side PM role
  • Solid working knowledge of the full construction lifecycle: design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and closeout
  • Hands-on experience with MEP systems, FF&E, AV/IT integration, and commercial interiors
  • Strong budget management skills; comfortable with detailed cost tracking and change order review
  • Ability to manage two concurrent projects across different sites without losing detail or momentum
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
  • Experience navigating lease documents and work letters (with Legal support)
  • Clear, direct communicator with strong stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • Self-directed and structured -- this is a greenfield engagement that requires someone who can create process from scratch

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the NYC commercial real estate market and DOB permitting process
  • Familiarity with Cambridge/MA building codes and permitting
  • Experience working with flexible or serviced office providers alongside traditional TI projects
  • Background in interior design or architecture
  • PMP, LEED, or similar certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of the NYC and Cambridge office build-outs, from initial scoping through construction administration and move-in, targeting summer 2027
  • Develop and own project budgets, schedules, and scope documents for both sites
  • Procure and actively manage external vendors including architects, general contractors, furniture vendors, AV/IT consultants, and specialty subcontractors
  • Serve as Suno's owner's representative throughout design and construction, coordinating reviews and approvals with Finance, IT, Legal, and People
  • Support space planning and occupancy analysis to inform decisions on both sites
  • Lead due diligence on both spaces; support lease work letter review and TI allowance negotiation in coordination with Legal
  • Manage permitting, code compliance, and landlord coordination for NYC and Cambridge
  • Maintain project documentation, status reporting, and executive updates throughout both projects
  • Build scalable process templates for how Suno manages workplace development going forward
