Under the direction of the Manager, Workplace Investigations, the Senior Workplace Investigator – Conduct and Workplace Harassment and Discrimination (WHD) receives, assesses and investigates incidents and/or complaints by Metrolinx employees of misconduct, conflict of interest, disclosure of wrongdoing, workplace harassment and discrimination received by Metrolinx’s WHD Prevention Team under Employee & Labour Relations. This role will provide investigative expertise in the areas of human rights, harassment, discrimination, and workplace conduct. This role will be the liaison to key partners and business groups on highly sensitive, complex employee relations and human rights matters, including leveraging a solid understanding of the Public Service of Ontario Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislation, together with experience applying those laws to workplace issues, and conducting related investigations. The Senior Workplace Investigator will also be expected to support workplace restoration efforts.
