About The Position

MSIG USA is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Functional Consultant to support the ongoing optimization and scalability of the Workday platform. This role will partner closely with Technology teams and Human Resources to identify opportunities to enhance business processes, improve user experiences, and maximize the value of Workday capabilities. The ideal candidate brings a strong HR functional background combined with hands-on Workday configuration experience across Recruiting, Talent, Performance, Compensation, Absence, Security, Business Processes, Reporting, and Dashboards. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to both HR and Technology partners, helping to balance day-to-day operational support with strategic initiatives that advance the organization's long-term workforce technology roadmap.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Workday experience.
• Strong HR functional background with deep understanding of employee lifecycle processes.
• Hands-on Workday configuration experience.
• Expertise in: Recruiting, Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation, Absence Management, Workday Security, Business Processes, Reporting & Dashboards.
• Experience partnering with HR leadership and Technology organizations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owner, HR and Technology to understand business needs and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across key Workday HCM functional areas.
• Provide recommendations based on Workday best practices, business requirements, and future organizational needs.
• Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday functionality across: Recruiting, Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation, Absence Management.
• Evaluate and implement new Workday capabilities that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
• Support the organization's growth by designing scalable solutions that align with future business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through thoughtful configuration and process optimization.
• Analyze, configure, and optimize Workday business processes, approvals, notifications, validations, and workflow routing.
• Support the administration and governance of Workday security, including security groups, role-based access, and domain security policies.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with compliance, audit, and governance requirements.
• Document configuration decisions and business process designs.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and workforce analytics.
• Partner with business leaders to define meaningful KPIs and metrics.
• Deliver actionable insights that support workforce planning, talent management, recruiting effectiveness, and operational decision-making.
• Promote data quality and reporting best practices.
• Provide ongoing support for Workday HCM functionality, ensuring platform stability, reliability, and business continuity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues, security questions, reporting requests, and configuration challenges.
• Support recurring annual processes such as performance reviews, talent reviews, compensation cycles, organizational changes, and absence management activities.
• Balance operational "keep the lights on" responsibilities with strategic enhancement initiatives and project work.
• Lead or support initiatives focused on expanding Workday capabilities, improving employee and manager experience, and enabling future business growth.
• Evaluate emerging Workday functionality and recommend enhancements aligned with business priorities and long-term workforce strategies.
