As a Senior Work Controller on the NEMCON contract, you’ll be at the center of it all, coordinating environmental, medical, and operational activities across a fast-paced, multi-user spaceport. Under the guidance of the Environmental Health Director, the Senior Work Controller will support the NASA Environmental and Medical Contract (NEMCON) in the management, coordination, and execution of daily work tasks. This work is primarily performed onsite at NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The position interfaces daily with multiple customers, receiving work requests to support various activities at a multi-user spaceport related to medical, environmental, and environmental health services.

  • Bachelor’s degree in an environmental related field; or ten (10) years work experience in an above related field In lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field of project or workflow management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard computer software

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the NEMCON 2400 Work Control phone during regular business hours with the ability to communicate effectively with various organizations and understand their work requirements.
  • Generates and maintains Work Orders (WOs) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks in Maximo.
  • Classifies Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) for work requests and assigns WOs priority based on classification.
  • Collects necessary information from requesters to provide clear instructions for WOs, and/or PMs, ensuring effective communication with NEMCON departments and programs.
  • Routinely works with NEMCON Finance to obtain work approvals and appropriate funding sources to establish appropriate charge strings to assign to Job Plans and generate WOs in Maximo.
  • Coordinates work orders with assigned lead, validates and closes completed tasks in Maximo, and supports the Engineering Document Review (EDR) process.
  • Receives and coordinates Safety Data Sheets submissions from multiple customers.
  • Reviews customer requests for medical services and utilizes medical data entry systems to coordinate with the Medical Administrative Director and NEMCON Finance to validate and approve requests for the scheduling of medical services.
  • Coordinates requests for emergency support work to ensure response personnel receive all critical information.
  • Performs duties in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
