About The Position

A rapidly growing defense technology company is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer to support its Large Platforms product line in Austin, Texas. The role addresses a need for aerospace Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) architecture expertise and applies regulated-aerospace process discipline in a fast-moving industry. The engineer will independently architect and implement complete wiring systems for vessel programs, including selecting wires and connectors, defining pin-outs and shielding strategies, and specifying physical accommodations for harsh marine environments. The work includes electrical and physical/mechanical design inputs across diverse and complex systems. Strong technical documentation, configuration control, change management, and communication across engineering, program, and manufacturing stakeholders are important.

Requirements

  • Seven to ten years of relevant experience for the Austin role.
  • Aerospace EWIS architecture experience, ideally spanning two programs.
