About The Position

Entarian is seeking a Senior Windows Administrator to join the ALTESS Windows team. This role supports a growing environment of Windows 2019 and Windows 2022 servers. The position is contingent upon contract award and funding. The administrator will work with the existing team to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers in a mixed customer environment. Responsibilities include planning and implementing new system hardware and software, creating and maintaining technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies. The role also involves monitoring and tuning system performance, ensuring server security and operational status, recommending enterprise improvements, managing new software/hardware integrations, and providing utilization reports. Support for the lifecycle of vendor equipment in the data center, including firmware version control and preventive maintenance, is also required. The ability to recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to enhance the current environment is essential.

Requirements

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
CompTIA Security+ Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Server+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), RedHat, Palo, etc., can be waived for 30 days after project join date)
Experience in Computer Science or IT
Minimum five years' experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer
Three or more years’ experience in automating assigned tasks utilizing powershell
Minimum five years’ installing, configuration, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex applications and websites (Internet Information Services (IIS)), Apache, etc.
Minimum five years’ experience working in an environment with complex networking solutions with senior level fundamental knowledge in networking principles, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
Minimum five years’ experience managing enterprise level Active Directory Structures
Minimum five years’ experience creating and maintaining complex MS Group Policy implementations
Minimum five years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
Strong interpersonal skills and willing to be a team player

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience
Three or more years’ experience supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA)

Responsibilities

Manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers for a mixed customer environment.
Plan, execute, and implement new system hardware and software.
Create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies.
Monitor and tune system performance.
Ensure ongoing operation of servers and hardening of servers.
Report on overall security and operational status.
Recommend improvements to the enterprise.

Provide support toward the lifecycle of a mixed environment of vendor equipment in the data-center to include firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance.
Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment.
