About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Clifton Park, New York. This role focuses on leading and executing conveyance and master planning projects, primarily within the municipal sector. The position offers significant growth opportunities through project delivery, team management, and client relationship building. Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant engineering experience in conveyance system investigations and rehabilitation.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Excellent technical engineering and writing skills.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and collaborate with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of experience.
  • Master's in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Project Management experience on municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater projects of various sizes.
  • Client relationships/experience with local municipalities.
  • Proficient in ArcGIS Pro.
  • P.E. License.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support the development of water and wastewater projects.
  • Manage tasks, projects, and client expectations for the planning, design, and construction of distribution/collection systems.
  • Create construction documents and specifications.
  • Handle construction oversight and administration.
  • Serve as a client-facing representative to determine needs, develop strategies, provide solutions, and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead the planning, management, execution, and delivery of planning and design projects.
  • Develop relationships and provide guidance on potential pursuits, supporting account teams in identifying, tracking, and positioning for opportunities.
  • Develop scopes of work and budgets.
  • Supervise and support the work of others, including mentoring junior staff.
  • Be involved in grant writing and GIS mapping/analysis.
