About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Clifton Park, New York. This role will leverage expertise in conveyance and master planning projects to lead and execute projects, primarily within municipal markets, and support project pursuits. The position offers significant growth opportunities for advancement through project delivery, management of delivery teams, and building strong client relationships. The team focuses on creating and implementing innovative and effective solutions for clients using state-of-the-art practices and technologies. This is an opportunity for a self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible individual to lead water/wastewater projects with support from a leading municipal consulting firm.

Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant engineering experience in conveyance system investigations and rehabilitation.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent technical engineering and writing skills.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Leads teams and collaborates with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of experience.
  • Master's in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Project Management experience on municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater projects of various sizes.
  • Client relationships/experience with the local municipalities.
  • Proficient in ArcGIS Pro
  • P.E. License

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support the development of water and wastewater projects.
  • Manage tasks/projects and clients’ expectations for the planning, design, and construction of distribution/collection systems.
  • Create construction documents and specifications.
  • Handle construction oversight/administration.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs, develop strategies, and provide solutions.
  • Manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead the planning, management, execution, and delivery of planning and design projects.
  • Develop relationships or provide guidance on possible pursuits.
  • Support account teams in identifying, tracking, and positioning for opportunities.
  • Develop scopes of work and budgets.
  • Supervise and support the work of others, including mentoring junior staff.
  • Be involved in grant writing.
  • Be involved in GIS mapping/analysis.
