About The Position

IMEG is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer on moderate to complex civil infrastructure and site design projects, with a Water/Wastewater focus. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and client guidance that supports positive outcomes. You’ll also help manage project budgets, support training and mentoring efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required
  • 7 years of experience minimum required in the building design consulting industry
  • Demonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career path
  • Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline
  • Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency in the Civil Engineering field
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
  • Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects ranging in size and complexity
  • Assist with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposal generation, and contract reviews
  • Create project schedules with clear milestones and deadlines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams and clients
  • Create monthly billings, submit financial information to Accounting on time, and update billing projections and estimated completion percentages monthly
  • Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards, and code requirements, and that milestone deliverables, quality control processes, and construction technical support are completed on time
  • Collaborate with design staff and coordinate project scheduling through all phases of design and construction
  • Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation
  • Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requested
  • Respond to and resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, obtain appropriate approvals, mentor and lead others, and build client relationships
