About The Position

This position serves as a Senior Warfare Analyst (SWA) in support of PMX-281 and the Combined Mission Planning Continuum (CMPC) team located at NAS Patuxent River, MD (remote work authorized). The SWA will provide operational subject matter expertise to PMX-281, to include gathering and incorporation of fleet requirements, planning of development schedules, and program management of CMPC cost, schedule, and performance. Candidates will be required to leverage their experience to establish working relationships with fleet users of mission planning systems and navigate US Navy and Air Force organizations. Defense acquisition and Operational Test experience at the operational and tactical levels is greatly desired to support CMPC development and introduction into the fleet. Demonstrated communications skills, independent project coordination, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools a must.

Requirements

  • 10 years of military active duty (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline (required)
  • Senior P-8 Pilot or Naval Flight Officer (required)
  • Program management and analysis experience (required)
  • Active Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility (required)
  • Weapon and Tactics Instructor (WTI) (required)
  • Demonstrated communications skills
  • Independent project coordination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools

Nice To Haves

  • Operational Test or Exercise Planning experience (preferred)
  • Experience with NAVAIR Acquisition programs (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide SME expertise on current Mission Planning systems and techniques for USN and USMC aviation platforms
  • Provide SME expertise on current and future USN and USAF platform capabilities.
  • Develop roadmaps, tailored briefing, and decision products to inform stakeholders and key working groups as to the status of the respective portfolio.
  • Provide input to the government on long term acquisition requirements based on fleet operational requirements and priorities
  • Identify Science and Technology opportunities in systems, sensors, and equipment to be monitored, assisted, or transitioned to programs of record.
  • Monitor and provide analysis of advanced system development, test and evaluation, and fleet experiments and demonstrations.
  • Coordinate vetting of industry S&T initiatives and proposals requiring Fleet support
