Requirements

  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of Warehouse experience
  • Employee is frequently required to walk or stand long hours and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Forklift operating experience (Forklift Certification is a plus)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Oracle, and web-based tools)
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • Have excellent time management, organizational planning, and problem-solving skills
  • You follow instructions, respond to management direction, and keep commitments
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Able to manage, establish, and communicate clear goals and objectives

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse.
  • Receives incoming inventory and supply items, logs into the company warehouse system, and stocks inventory in the proper location.
  • Read work orders, shipping orders, and follow verbal instructions.
  • Fills customer invoices, checks part numbers, cleans, and packs inventory items.
  • Inspects inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage, and notifies Warehouse Manager of the problem.
  • Follows all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment.
  • Tracks all inventory in the appropriate system.
  • Organizes and cleans warehouse space and company equipment as needed.
  • Reports any customer problems or concerns immediately.
  • Coaches fellow associates on warehouse operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, and safety procedures when needed.
  • Enforces policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.
  • Evaluates current processes and procedures and recommends changes to warehouse management.
  • Contributes ideas on ways to reduce warehouse cost per unit and increase productivity.
  • Maintains working knowledge of the warehouse data system and performs various tasks within the system.
  • When requested, delivers supplies and equipment in a timely fashion, while observing all Regulated DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Properly maintain records as required by management in the appropriate warehouse information system.
