About The Position

Our organization is responsible for delivering critical services, including capacity planning, capital budget development, factory layout design, workforce planning, and manufacturing system modeling. We leverage advanced engineering principles, mathematical techniques, simulation, and optimization models to develop and implement solutions for complex manufacturing challenges. Through these efforts, we enhance operational performance and play a key role in enabling the successful execution of Seagate’s Product and Technology Roadmap.

Requirements

  • Skilled with capacity modeling to support strategic and tactical planning and have demonstrated ability to improve standard processes or procedures
  • Proven track record of leading cycle time reduction and capacity gains through tooling consolidations, offloading and forecasting management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Success in analyzing factory wide projects into actionable insights
  • Proficient with workflow automations to impact efficiency and identify data accuracy gaps
  • Experience driving cross functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
  • Experience collaborating with contractors or external solution providers.
  • Proven ability to manage and support factory manufacturing tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and developing engineers.
  • Track record of expanding scope through new roles within teams and short-term assignments.
  • Experience leading cross functional projects across manufacturing, facilities, and engineering to drive execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, and 5+ years of experience or master’s degree in the same and 3+ years’ experience or PhD and 0+ years’ experience or equivalent experience and education

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain capacity model, validate assumptions and support short- and long-term planning decisions based on current factory conditions
  • Manage factory wide tools / systems
  • Develop and refine models to evaluate scenarios, assess constraints and guide decision making for factory optimization
  • Provide within team and cross department tools to reduce workload
  • Lead project teams with manufacturing, facilities, and engineering to execute plans
  • Prepare and deliver clear updates and actions on factory performance to stakeholders including leadership and factory performance forums
