We are seeking an experienced VRF Service Technician to join our growing commercial HVAC team. This position is responsible for the startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems in commercial and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with major VRF manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, Fujitsu, or Toshiba and possesses strong diagnostic and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of VRF service and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with major VRF manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, Fujitsu, or Toshiba.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial VRF systems.
  • Perform startup, commissioning, and functional testing of newly installed VRF equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on VRF and related HVAC systems.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, refrigerant piping layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Utilize manufacturer software and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve system faults.
  • Troubleshoot communication networks, control devices, sensors, and inverter-driven equipment.
  • Verify proper refrigerant charging, airflow, controls operation, and system performance.
  • Document service activities, equipment conditions, and recommended repairs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, service managers, and customers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a professional manner.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
