About The Position

NABRICO's Vice President of Operations leads the strategic and day‑to‑day operational performance of our marine business, overseeing fleet operations, safety, compliance, logistics, and service delivery across all locations. This role drives operational excellence, strengthens cross‑functional alignment, and ensures our marine assets, people, and processes operate at the highest standards of efficiency and reliability. The VP of Operations is accountable for building a high‑performance culture, optimizing operational systems, and delivering consistent, customer‑focused results that support the company’s long‑term growth in the marine sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within industrial manufacturing; preferably 3+ years with multi-site responsibility
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline operations and implement new structures and roles that drive speed, efficiency, and adaptability to rapidly changing business demands
  • Experience developing budgets and strategic business plans
  • Experience driving value creation and cost savings through continuous improvement initiatives, productivity enhancements, and automation
  • Strong negotiation skills in both internal and external environments
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated through prior professional success
  • Training and expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence systems
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (e.g., SAP, ERP, CRM)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with functional leaders to strengthen and promote a culture of Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Collaborate with plant managers and executive leadership to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through comprehensive process analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Establish strategic objectives to drive operational efficiency and increase productivity.
  • Work with commercial and finance teams, to develop financial and budgetary plans.
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide clear visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles related to key initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to support operational decisions and strategic objectives.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics to ensure efficient and timely execution of operational activities.
  • Develop enterprise-wide strategies to drive growth, identifying and implementing process improvements that maximize output and reduce costs.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards, maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and foster a trusting, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
