About The Position
Tom's Guide is Future's biggest tech brand, bringing the latest tech news and views to millions of highly engaged consumers across multiple platforms. We're looking for a Senior Video Editor to help develop and shape Tom's Guide's growing video content. This hybrid role will report to the Managing Producer.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience end-to-end editing of short-form video packages in Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Create detailed rough-cuts and assemblies.
- Provide rounds of editing feedback.
- An eye for detail.
- A passion and understanding of today's viral video content.
- Experience setting up shoots for digital content.
Nice To Haves
- General knowledge of legal and rights including copyright and consent is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Edit mid and short-form digital content ranging from 90-second clips to 10 minute-plus documentaries.
- Come up with new ways to present our content, and develop video series with graphic treatments.
- Help our in-house editor and a rota of freelance editors manage editing priorities.
- Provide initial rounds of editing feedback based on our best practices and quality control checklist.
- Run ingest for our studio shoots.
- Keep up with the nature of the tech industry's product release cycle.
