About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Video Editor to help develop and shape Tom's Guide's growing video content. This hybrid role will report to the Managing Producer. Tom's Guide is Future's biggest tech brand, bringing the latest tech news and views to millions of highly engaged consumers across multiple platforms. We create trusted, expert content that helps millions of people discover more about the things they love, need and care about. Across websites, magazines, newsletters, social channels and events, we bring expert content to audiences around the world. We combine our deep specialist knowledge with innovative technology and data to create engaging experiences, build valuable communities and help people make better-informed decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience end-to-end editing of short-form video packages in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Create detailed rough-cuts and assemblies.
• Provide rounds of editing feedback.
• An eye for detail.
• A passion and understanding of today's viral video content.
• Experience setting up shoots for digital content.

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of legal and rights including copyright and consent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Edit mid and short-form digital content ranging from 90-second clips to 10 minute-plus documentaries.
• Come up with new ways to present our content, and develop video series with graphic treatments.
• Help our in-house editor and a rota of freelance editors manage editing priorities.
• Provide initial rounds of editing feedback based on our best practices and quality control checklist.
• Run ingest for our studio shoots.
• Keep up with the nature of the tech industry's product release cycle.
