Senior Vice President, Philanthropic Engagement

BBYOWashington, DC

About The Position

BBYO is seeking a talented, driven, and entrepreneurial fundraiser to serve as Senior Vice President of Philanthropic Engagement. This is an extraordinary leadership opportunity at a pivotal moment when both the need and the potential for impact have never been greater. BBYO sits at the center of a rapidly evolving Jewish landscape, increasingly serving as the primary pluralistic platform for post–bar/bat mitzvah engagement and leadership development for Jewish teens. The challenge ahead is to translate that impact into sustained philanthropic investment that fuels BBYO's growth and shapes the future of Jewish communal life. This is not a traditional development role. The Senior Vice President will inherit—and be expected to activate—a powerful set of assets: relationships with some of the leading Jewish philanthropists in North America, a global alumni community numbering in the hundreds of thousands, a track record of expanding impact, and a network of highly committed volunteers and board members. BBYO currently operates an annual campaign of $25 million with a Centennial Campaign that seeks to increase endowment commitments to $100 million over the next three years. The successful candidate will capitalize on significant investments in BBYO's fundraising infrastructure, including a recently enhanced database and prospect management ecosystem, to identify new opportunities for growth and deepen donor engagement. Through compelling storytelling, strategic relationship-building, data-informed decision-making, and sophisticated cultivation strategies, this leader will expand BBYO's philanthropic reach and drive transformational support for the organization's mission. BBYO offers the rare chance to take on a meaningful fundraising challenge with the resources, partnership, and platform needed to achieve truly outsized results.
