About The Position

The Senior Vice President of Information Technology (SVP of IT) is a senior executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and governance of Legent Health’s entire information technology function. This role serves as the primary technology authority within the organization, providing visionary leadership across all IT domains including infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems management, data platform, enterprise AI, and enterprise process design. The SVP of IT partners directly with executive leadership to align technology investments with organizational goals, ensure the reliability and security of all systems, and build a high-performing IT department capable of supporting Legent Health's mission. This leader will cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while establishing the governance frameworks, policies, and committees that guide IT decision-making across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive IT leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in a healthcare or health system environment with working knowledge of clinical operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale infrastructure design and transformation initiatives.
  • Extensive experience establishing IT governance frameworks, policies, and cross-functional committees.
  • Prior experience managing and developing direct reports at the director or vice president level.
  • Experience with system conversions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic design, architecture, and lifecycle management of all enterprise IT infrastructure, including network, server, cloud, storage, and data center environments.
  • Evaluate and approve infrastructure investment decisions, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient, and aligned with organizational growth projections.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning, business continuity strategies, and infrastructure redundancy to ensure high availability of critical health systems.
  • Direct the evaluation and adoption of emerging infrastructure technologies to advance Legent Health's operational capabilities.
  • Provide executive oversight of the IT Security function, ensuring comprehensive protection of all organizational data, systems, and assets.
  • Champion a risk-aware culture across the IT department and the broader organization, ensuring adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Approve and sponsor enterprise security policies, incident response plans, and vulnerability management programs.
  • Ensure regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing are conducted and findings are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of all enterprise systems including electronic health records (EHR), clinical applications, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and communication platforms.
  • Ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and interoperability standards required to support clinical and administrative operations.
  • Direct system procurement, implementation planning, and vendor relationship management for all major enterprise platforms.
  • Establish and enforce change management protocols to minimize disruption during system updates and deployments.
  • Own or formally co-own the enterprise data platform strategy, including architecture, governance, and lifecycle management of all clinical and operational data assets across Legent Health’s facility portfolio.
  • Lead or co-lead the organization’s enterprise AI agenda, partnering with clinical, operational, and financial leadership to identify, prioritize, and govern AI use cases that improve patient outcomes and organizational performance.
  • Establish data governance frameworks, standards, and stewardship practices that ensure data quality, interoperability, and regulatory compliance across all data domains.
  • Oversee the evaluation, procurement, and responsible deployment of AI and machine learning tools, ensuring appropriate clinical validation, ethical review, and ongoing monitoring of deployed models.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of IT processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departmental functions.
  • Establish and maintain an IT policy framework that governs access control, acceptable use, data governance, change management, and vendor management.
  • Ensure all IT processes and policies are communicated, trained upon, and consistently enforced across the organization.
  • Partner with Clinical, Compliance, Finance, and Operations leadership to align IT processes with cross-functional requirements.
  • Establish and chair IT governance committees, including but not limited to the IT Steering Committee Security & Risk Committee, and Technology Advisory Committee.
  • Define committee charters, membership, meeting cadences, and decision-making authorities to ensure structured and accountable IT governance.
  • Present strategic IT initiatives, major investments, and risk posture reports to executive leadership and the Board as required.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration through governance structures that incorporate clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholder perspectives.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year IT strategic roadmap that supports Legent Health's mission, growth strategy, and patient care objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing IT department, fostering professional development and succession planning across all IT functions.
  • Manage the IT department's annual operating and capital budgets with fiscal discipline and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and senior leadership team on all matters related to information technology.
  • Lead IT due diligence and post-acquisition integration for all acquired facilities, establishing repeatable playbooks that govern system migration, network onboarding, security remediation, and clinical application harmonization in support of Legent Health’s ongoing acquisition strategy.
  • Set clear goals and expectations; provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Develop talent through mentoring, training, and career development initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative and engaging work environment that aligns with company values.
  • Manage conflict and make timely decisions to maintain team focus and performance.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations.
  • Approve timecards, schedules, time-off requests, and other administrative HR functions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.
