About The Position

Affinius Capital is seeking a Senior Vice President Information Technology to lead a portfolio of high-impact financial transformation and technology programs across the firm’s Credit and Equity strategies. Operating as a senior individual contributor, this leader directs internal and external resources, including delivery partners, consultants, and cross-functional business teams, to translate the firm’s strategic priorities into executed outcomes, without carrying line-management responsibility. This role sits within the Security, Technology & Services (STS) organization and partners closely with Finance, Performance, Asset Management, Portfolio Management, and Corporate teams. It is a highly visible position with direct executive face time and the influence required to shape how the firm records, reports, plans, and scales the economics of its business across the full investment life cycle. The Senior Vice President is positioned as a peer to the firm’s technology leadership and is responsible for the strategy, sequencing, and successful delivery of complex, multi-workstream initiatives, ensuring the retention of institutional knowledge and durable, long-term internal ownership of these programs as external partners roll off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business, or a related field or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of required education.
  • 8+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation, technology, or operating-model programs, ideally within real estate investment management, private capital, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated success directing internal teams and external delivery partners/consultants to deliver large initiatives on time and on scope.
  • Strong command of corporate finance, fund reporting, and investment economics (fees, carry, co-invest, expense allocation).
  • Proven program/change-management capability, including roadmap ownership, requirements definition, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Exceptional communication (both written and verbal), stakeholder-management, and executive-influencing skills, with the ability to tailor the message to any audience.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving instincts, with a bias toward practical, measurable outcomes.
  • Willing to work onsite full-time in the San Antonio office.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
  • Experience across both Credit and Equity real estate strategies
  • Familiarity with the real estate investment-management technology ecosystem, for example Yardi, Argus Enterprise, DealPath, and modern data platforms (Azure Synapse, SQL, Data Factory)
  • Working knowledge of analytics and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI) and how they support fund and corporate reporting
  • Experience partnering with Big-Four or specialist transformation consultancies
  • Agile/Scrum or PMP exposure

Responsibilities

  • Bridge business and technology: Translate stakeholder objectives across Finance, Fund Operations, and Investor Reporting into clear requirements, decisions, and measurable deliverables.
  • Modernize finance and reporting operations: Improve how the firm captures revenue economics, allocates expenses, and measures performance; advance fund reporting and investor-letter modernization in partnership with Finance and Data Strategy.
  • Strengthen the data and investment-application ecosystem: Integrate platforms (Yardi, Argus, Built, DealPath) and custom solutions into a trusted single source of truth, improving data quality and usability across the business.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources: Mobilize delivery partners, consultants, and cross-functional teams as a unified program organization, setting scope, sequencing workstreams, and holding partners accountable without formal authority.
  • Establish governance and accountability: Bring clear ownership, decision rights, and real-time visibility to fragmented processes; maintain program roadmaps, executive communications, and proactive risk management.
  • Champion practical innovation: Pair disciplined execution with a forward-looking view, continuously identifying automation, emerging tools, and platform capabilities that create measurable competitive advantage.
  • Directs a connected portfolio of financial transformation initiatives across fund reporting modernization, fund administration migration, and corporate finance operating model design — in partnership with the CFO, Fund Operations, Data Strategy, and external delivery partners.
  • Partners with Credit business and operations leaders to identify high-friction workflows across portfolio oversight, reporting, and asset-level execution, then drives process redesign and automation to improve transparency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen controls.
  • Leads the continued modernization of fund financial reporting across Credit and Equity strategies, including investor-reporting data reliability, investor-letter production, and re-platforming as fund models evolve. Supports the fund administration platform migration, a significant operational effort requiring close coordination across business, operations, technology, and external partners to maintain reporting continuity and data integrity.
  • Operates with executive presence across senior leadership forums, including the CFO, COO, and Global Head of Technology, driving alignment through credibility and structure rather than direct authority. Works fluidly across Credit and Equity strategies and partners broadly across Portfolio Management Analytics, Research, and Capital Raising to surface high-value opportunities beyond the formal roadmap.
