We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Counsel - Asset Servicing to join our Asset Servicing Legal team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Requirements
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction in which the role is based.
- 3 years minimum of professional experience as an admitted attorney.
- Prior corporate legal experience within the asset management and/or financial services industry or comparable law firm experience preferred.
- Transactional experience and contract drafting and negotiation strongly desired.
- Experience working with technology, software, digital assets, blockchain, data and analytics legal issues, a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Function as a trusted internal resource capable of using knowledge of BNY Mellon's businesses, products, services and/or strategies to articulate and advance legal positions.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle a broad portfolio of legal issues.
- Work collaboratively, seeking guidance and input from colleagues throughout the organization to ensure solutions align to global legal strategies.
- Partner with colleagues who also serve in an advisory or oversight capacity, such as those in Risk, Audit, Compliance, etc.
- Manage outside counsel, reviewing work for appropriateness, quality and alignment to expectations.
- Develop a broad understanding of ASD products and services.
