About The Position

The Senior Vice President, Auto focuses on building strong client relationships while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You’ll be building tailored insurance solutions for businesses of all sizes. This role will be based out of our Burnaby Still Creek head office location. It is centrally located and easily accessible by Gilmore SkyTrain station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Commercial Insurance experience
  • Proven experience in sales process and account management
  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • SELF-STARTERS with an ENTREPRENEURIAL mindset who will take OWNERSHIP of their business
  • INNOVATIVE and open to sharing your ideas
  • Work with URGENCY while providing a high level of PROFESSIONAL SERVICE towards our customers, communities, & colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Recognize and actively pursue new business opportunities
  • Conduct market research on prospects
  • Remain current on business issues pertaining to prospects
  • Network
  • Follow up on leads
  • Generate new business revenue by selling insurance coverage to clients
  • Manage pipeline of candidates through the use of CORE system
  • Maintain existing book of business
  • Provide highest standard of client service
  • Be flexible to the needs of each client
  • Be up-to-date on all current coverage available
  • Be proactive in foreseeing and meeting the needs of each client
  • Attend client meetings in Coastal trading area
  • Attend and actively participate in industry and company events/meetings
  • Continue professional development in order to enhance skills and abilities
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
