About The Position

This role will lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of the global team responsible for processing life-cycle events of private CMLs, RMLs, and alternative investments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The position involves developing and managing global team members, providing ongoing training, and understanding accounting principles like PNL, realized and unrealized gains/losses, FX PNL, and accrued interest. The Senior Vice President will act as an escalation point for internal and external stakeholders, manage senior-level external clients and partnerships, and collaborate across multiple locations and departments to resolve exceptions in cash or position activity reconciliation. This role requires liaising with internal and external parties such as Portfolio Managers, Finance, Administrators, and Trustees to ensure timely responses and issue resolution, utilizing effective communication to provide clear direction. Responsibilities also include routine operational tasks, administering defined procedures, performing analyses, preparing reports, and resolving problems through investigation and research. A key aspect of the role is creating and executing a process improvement strategy, identifying process or control gaps, performing root cause analysis, and implementing creative solutions for streamlining processes across teams to enhance efficiency and risk controls. The Senior Vice President will represent and lead the asset servicing team's response for strategic initiatives or new product launches, fostering a proactive culture focused on operational risk identification, management, and resolution. This includes demonstrating consideration for Blackstone’s reputation, clients, and assets by driving compliance with laws and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in various credit financial instruments including but not limited to loans, revolvers, bonds and repos with 7+ years of experience in structured product operations.
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliations and life-cycle management of CML, RMLs and Alternative Investments.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to effectively analyze problems.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven record of effective execution and driving accountability.
  • Excellent team player, who can collaborate effectively across all levels of the firm.
  • Strong risk and control mindset, including escalating issues effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as the role requires communicating strategy to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and over-see the day-to-day activities of the global team responsible for the processing of life-cycle events of private CMLs, RMLs and alternative investments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all stages.

  • Be responsible for routine operational tasks focused on administering defined procedures, analyses and report preparation, and resolving problems that require investigation or research.
  • Create and execute on process improvement strategy for the team. This will include identifying process or control gaps, performing root cause analysis, and execute upon creative solutions to support processes streamlining across multiple teams or departments with focus on promoting efficiency and enhancing our risk controls.
  • Represent and lead response on behalf of the asset servicing team for strategic initiatives or new product launches.
  • Fostering a proactive culture focused on operational risk identification, management and resolution.
