About The Position

This role manages complex vendor relationships with a primary focus on transportation providers, including parcel carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. It oversees operational processes to ensure contract compliance, service performance, and cost efficiency across transportation networks. The role is responsible for forecasting and reporting transportation spend, auditing invoices, and identifying cost-saving opportunities through data-driven analysis. It partners cross-functionally to resolve operational issues, improve processes, and enhance vendor performance. Success is measured by effective vendor management, financial accuracy, and continuous improvement of transportation operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • Acceptable areas of study include Business, Finance or related field
  • 2-4 years Vendor management, transportation, transportation, logistics, or reverse logistics experience.
  • 2-4 years Supply chain, freight, parcel operations, or inventory management experience.
  • Wireless industry experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Experience with Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Experience managing parcel carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS) or 3PL partners

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular meetings with vendors (including parcel carriers and 3PLs) to manage planning, performance, and track action items, ensuring alignment and progress
  • Develop and deliver reporting dashboards and metrics to monitor transportation performance, cost trends and inform decision-making
  • Create and review monthly and quarterly scorecards with vendors to evaluate service levels, contract adherence, and financial performance
  • Develop rolling financial forecasts for transportation spend (parcel, freight accessorials), to support budgeting and cost management
  • Initiate and execute logistics and transportation initiatives to improve processes, service levels and drive cost savings
  • Audit and process transportation invoices and credit memos, resolving discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy and control
  • Other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
