About The Position

The Senior Vendor Management Professional will serve as a liaison between vendors and Humana, supporting internal business areas while ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations for the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (M3P) program. This program offers Medicare Part D enrollees the option to pay $0 at the pharmacy for qualified Part D medications and smooth their costs over the calendar year. The role involves building and maintaining positive vendor relationships, monitoring vendor activities such as SLAs, reporting, system reliability, and CMS compliance. Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, conducting quarterly business reviews, investigating escalated vendor concerns, and collaborating with internal partners and vendors for resolution. The professional will also monitor M3P vendor budgets versus actual spend, address billing discrepancies, and provide information to the Finance team. Support is provided for system monitoring, file transmissions, member communications, call center inquiries, and production issue resolution. The role requires independent work and teamwork in defining objectives and approaches. Additionally, it involves assisting with quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and collaborating with the Risk and Compliance team to ensure vendor adherence to CMS regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrated vendor management experience
  • Familiarity with procurement and contracting processes
  • Experience over a large metric-intensive operational unit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a healthcare or insurance setting, preferably in operations
  • Master's Degree
  • Certification with Six Sigma and/or the Project Management Institute
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage
