About The Position

This per-diem position is based in the Cardiothoracic Surgery office at 319 S. Manning Blvd. in Albany, New York. The technologist performs all examination types offered by the practice and is expected to work independently at all assigned locations and shifts. The role also includes working as the ultrasound technologist for ablations and other vein procedures. The schedule is approximately two days per week, preferably Wednesday and Thursday, with flexibility, or two to four shifts per month. The position offers an orientation program, tuition allowance, and career development opportunities.

Requirements

Education, training, and experience in vascular sonography.
Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning, such as continuing medical education in vascular technology, higher education, or participation in research.
Must be eligible to obtain ARDMS certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for image acquisition and report generation.

Responsibilities

Perform all examination types offered by the practice.
Work independently at all assigned locations and shifts.
Serve as the ultrasound technologist for ablations and other vein procedures.
Acquire images and generate reports using the practice’s computer skills and software programs.
