About The Position

The Senior Value Advisor at Equinix is a specialized individual contributor responsible for supporting the development and delivery of ROI models, business cases, industry insights, and value narratives that demonstrate the measurable impact of Equinix’s platform. This role blends strong analytical skills, structured problem-solving, industry awareness, and customer-facing communication to help customers quantify the strategic and financial benefits of their digital transformation and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate brings consulting or analytical experience, a builder mindset, and the ability to create structured, scalable tools and methodologies that support teams across the organization. This individual will collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, Industry, and Advisory teams to translate customer requirements into credible, defensible value frameworks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, analytics, value engineering, or similar roles
  • Proven experience contributing to customer-facing or strategy-driven projects, ideally involving digital transformation, modernization, or AI adoption
  • Strong business and industry acumen with the ability to analyze ambiguous problem environments and develop structured frameworks
  • Vertical exposure to capital markets, life sciences, or industrial sectors (oil & gas) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience presenting insights, analyses, or recommendations to internal or external stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI/TCO development
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in clear, compelling, executive-ready narratives
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop structured, reusable tools, templates, and frameworks
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and applying analytical rigor to new or evolving problem spaces
  • Understanding of how AI and digital modernization drive measurable business value

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the library of ROI, TCO, and business case models used across the Value Advisory team
  • Architect scalable, modular Excel-based models with clean assumption layers, scenario logic, and sensitivity analysis
  • Build reusable templates, calculators, and frameworks that advisors can rapidly tailor to specific customer engagements
  • Maintain version control, documentation, and change management for the model library
  • Use AI tools to accelerate model development, prototype frameworks, and automate repetitive analytical work
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI into the Value Advisory team's workflow — from drafting value narratives to summarizing customer inputs to generating first-draft scenario analyses
  • Build AI-aware tooling: models, templates, and frameworks designed to be used effectively alongside AI assistants by the advisory team
  • Stay current on emerging AI capabilities relevant to value engineering, financial modeling, and consulting workflows
  • Bring familiarity with industries such as capital markets, life sciences, or industrial sectors to support vertical-specific value positioning
  • Analyze industry drivers, customer challenges, and ecosystem trends to identify relevant value levers and differentiate Equinix’s platform

  • Translate ambiguous value drivers (digital transformation, AI adoption, infrastructure modernization) into structured, defensible analytical frameworks
  • Incorporate benchmarks, industry data, and platform-specific value levers into reusable assets
  • Partner with customer-facing value advisors to understand recurring modeling needs and translate them into shared tools
  • Provide modeling support and quality review on complex or strategic engagements
  • Build internal documentation, training materials, and enablement assets that help advisors use the tools effectively
  • Gather feedback from the advisory team on tool usability and gaps
