We are seeking a Senior Manager, Value Stream for our Materials business at our Fremont, CA manufacturing site to join our dynamic team of industry leading experts. Summary: This role will have clear responsibility for the success of the Materials Production Operations facility in Fremont. As the Sr. VSM, you will focus the organization on the consistent, successful on-time delivery of product by coordinating activities with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Maintenance while leading a multi-shift team that continuously strives for improvements, driving customer satisfaction, and improving cost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years progressive operations/manufacturing experience.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to prioritize, balance and manage multiple efforts with strong results/goal orientation.
  • Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking; collects and researches data; makes good decision based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media.
  • Tactful and confident at all levels, internal and external.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean/Six Sigma green or black belt experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets through planning and execution of Lean Tools such as Problem Solving (PSP) Methodology, Standard Work (SW) and daily management.
  • Report the results on daily, weekly, and monthly cadence.
  • Partner with other team members to execute financial commitment of the business.
  • Based on customer order requirements, plan operations for fabrication and assembly of products.
  • Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used that are compatible to available machines/equipment.
  • Manage, direct, and coordinate work with cross functional resources to achieve results; specifically, Quality, Process Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Achieve short-term goals including, but not limited to, on-time delivery, cost of sales, quality, gross margin, and human resources throughout the Value Stream.
  • Analyze business metrics/trends and drive people and process improvements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement).
  • Act as a Lean/Six Sigma champion (standard work, lead-time, quality, etc.).
  • Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Ensure that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
