About The Position

The Senior Product Designer within the Loyalty UX Team will be at the forefront of Target's evolving digital experience, helping shape the future of its next-generation loyalty ecosystem. This role involves designing experiences that make loyalty more rewarding, personalized, and seamlessly integrated into every shopping journey across digital and in-store touchpoints. The designer will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and cross-functional business partners to define and deliver end-to-end experiences spanning membership, rewards, personalization, and member engagement. The goal is to translate complex business strategy into simple, intuitive experiences that deepen guest relationships and drive long-term loyalty. This role is ideal for a systems thinker who enjoys solving complex, interconnected product challenges and designing experiences that span multiple touchpoints across the guest journey. The designer will use human-centered design thinking to understand guest needs, balance business ideas, deliver best-in-class design from concept to execution, and champion cross-functional experimentation. The role also contributes to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target through influence, impact, and craft, while educating cross-functional teams when needed. The team is described as engaged, supportive, and increasingly diverse, focused on elevating the impact of the UX discipline.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products at scale, or equivalent experience
  • Strong product design skills, including structuring and planning work, owning the design process, and delivering high-quality experiences from concept through execution
  • Proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
  • Demonstrated strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
  • Understanding of how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full design process, from early discovery and strategic approach to ideation, design, testing asset delivery and production with engineers
  • Lead and contribute craft-specific work to large, complex projects with cross-team impact
  • Leverage insights, data and quantitative/qualitative research to identify and pursue user-centric outcomes within your product space
  • Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design
  • Contribute to a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity delivering impact for guests and the business
