About The Position

At Google, UX Engineers are versatile and driven to advance the vision of design teams. Working across disciplines, they develop products and prototypes that bring innovative ideas to life. As part of a multidisciplinary UX team, the Senior UX Engineer collaborates with Engineering and Product Management and uses user insights to create products and prototypes, launch features, build tools that accelerate UX teams, and bridge design and engineering for efficient, high-quality execution. The role is on the Chrome team, which works to build a better, more open web and a safe, secure browser across desktop and mobile platforms. The position involves collaborating on Chrome features, responding to user needs in ambiguous product settings, and contributing code to Chrome.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
At least 6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
Experience in application development in one or more platforms or areas, such as web, iOS, Android, CompDes, or XR.

Nice To Haves

7 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications.
6 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.
Experience designing, prototyping, and delivering high-quality user-facing features from idea to launch.
Frontend development with backend integrations and rapid UX prototyping experience.
Ability to translate mocks and wireframes into well-structured and responsive user interfaces.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and prototype new features that enhance the user experience on Chrome.
Model a feedback culture by providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Navigate ambiguous product settings, using problem-solving skills to identify and address user needs.
Write and review code in Chrome's codebase.
