About The Position

As a Senior UX Designer, you will lead the development and enhancement of user experience strategies by conducting comprehensive research, analyzing data, and collaborating with stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals. This role requires expertise in interaction design, prototyping, and usability testing to create intuitive, user-centered products. You will influence cross-functional teams, communicate complex insights clearly, and drive continuous improvements that elevate customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your work will directly contribute to delivering innovative, effective digital experiences that meet evolving user needs and business objectives. The team develops innovative products that empower the merchandising group to curate localized assortments efficiently and competitively, enhancing customer convenience and value. They apply user experience design principles, conduct thorough user research, and engage stakeholders to align strategies with business goals. Focused on continuous improvement, the team leverages data-driven insights to optimize interaction designs and deliver seamless solutions. Collaboration across functions ensures scalable, user-centered products that address evolving market needs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in user experience design, including user research, prototyping, and interaction design.
  • Proven ability to conduct user interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to identify gaps and improve UX strategies.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, including identification, engagement, and effective communication to align business and user needs.
  • Expertise in analyzing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and business strategies.
  • Proficiency in developing and documenting design specifications, wireframes, and prototypes adhering to user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build consensus through clear, concise communication and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
  • OR 5 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.

  • Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate)
  • Driving product development in a user experience area
  • Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area
  • Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare)
  • Knowledge of creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining in creating accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to identify gaps and inform design strategies.
  • Develop and refine interaction designs and user journeys based on data analysis and emerging user trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and communicate insights effectively.
  • Create prototypes and technical proofs of concept using appropriate tools and technologies to validate design concepts.
  • Lead usability testing efforts, document findings, and iterate designs to enhance user experience and product effectiveness.
  • Maintain design consistency by adhering to style guides and interaction patterns across platforms.
