Senior UX Designer
About The Position
SharkNinja is seeking a skilled and passionate Senior UX Designer to play a significant role in shaping connected app experiences for our Shark and Ninja product families. In this role, you will independently drive UX design for assigned product areas, contribute meaningfully to the team's design system, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver user-centered, high-quality experiences. You will help to mentor junior colleagues and serve as a strong individual contributor who can take a project from early-stage research and ideation through to final UX specifications and implementation support.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in UX design for mobile experiences on iOS and Android, with a portfolio demonstrating strong UX and UI craft.
- Ability to work with considerable independence on complex design problems, from research and ideation through to detailed specifications.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; experience using AI tools in the design process is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of UX best practices, interaction design principles, and mobile design guidelines (Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain high quality while working quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and rationalize design decisions clearly to cross-functional partners.
- Analytical thinking that leads to creative, user-centered solutions and innovative ideas.
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or a related discipline.

- Experience with physical/connected hardware products is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Own UX design for assigned features and product areas within the Shark and Ninja connected app ecosystem, delivering work across the full design lifecycle on iOS and Android.
- Translate consumer insights and user research into user-centered design solutions that are both functional and visually engaging.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams — including Product, Engineering, Industrial Design, and CMF — to conceptualize and refine app experiences.
- Build interactive prototypes at appropriate fidelity to test concepts, gather user feedback, and communicate design intent to stakeholders.
- Define the look and feel of accessible app experiences, including interface elements, color schemes, typography, and iconography within the SharkNinja UX design system.
- Deliver well-documented final UX specs and assets, partnering with sprint-based development teams to ensure successful and accurate implementation.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the SharkNinja design system by proposing and documenting new patterns and components.
- Provide constructive feedback and informal mentorship to junior UX designers on the team.
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance and accelerate the design process.
