About The Position

This is a REMOTE, Part-time position for a Senior Utilization Management Assistant. The role involves working 8-hour shifts, with both Night and Evening shifts available. Under the supervision of the Regional Director of Care Management, the Utilization Management Coordinator supports the Care Management team in coordinating patient care. This position functions as a healthcare team member, performing complex tasks related to patient assessment and management. Requirements

• 5 years Hospital, clinical setting or healthcare related field.
• 3 years demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.
• 3 years Clerical and computer experience.
• 3 years knowledge of insurance billing and managed care.

Nice To Haves

• Some college level course work or High School Diploma or GED equivalent or some college level course work preferred particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance coursework.
• Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant or High School Diploma or GED equivalent or some college level course work preferred particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance coursework.
• CHAA or High School Diploma or GED equivalent or some college level course work preferred particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance coursework.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: CHAA (If in California).
• 3 years EPIC Case Management and ADT Patient Access.

Responsibilities

• Providing support to the Care Management team who coordinates care.
• Working closely as a healthcare team member.
• Performing complex tasks related to the overall team functions and activities identified during the initial and ongoing assessment and management of patients.
