Senior Utility Helicopter Military Analyst
About The Position
The Senior Utility Helicopter Military Analyst provides subject matter expertise in Army utility helicopter operations, capability development, combat development, and aviation modernization initiatives. This position supports operational studies, capability assessments, technology evaluations, and requirements development efforts focused on the tactical employment of Army utility aircraft. The analyst develops recommendations to improve operational effectiveness, participates in Army Aviation capability assessments, and produces high-quality analytical products, including white papers, concept papers, operational views, and requirements documents supporting Army and Joint stakeholders.
Requirements
- Rated Army Aviator with a minimum of 15 years of Army Aviation flight and combat operations experience.
- Experience as a Standardization Instructor Pilot (SIP) or Instructor Pilot (IP) in Army Aviation utility helicopter formations.
- Experience operating current Army tactical utility aircraft fielded to Army aviation units.
- Completion of military or civilian equivalent professional education comparable to CGSC/ILE or the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course.
- Senior or Master Army Aviator Badge required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide detailed operational analysis of Army Aviation utility aircraft employment and capability requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting combat development, capability management, or capability development initiatives.
- Basic understanding of the Army’s light utility aircraft fleet and associated operational limitations.
- Active SECRET security clearance required.
Responsibilities

- Develop recommendations to improve operational effectiveness.
- Participate in Army Aviation capability assessments.
- Produce high-quality analytical products, including white papers, concept papers, operational views, and requirements documents supporting Army and Joint stakeholders.
- Independently develop graduate-level white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, operational views, and related analytical products with minimal Government revisions.
- Review and edit technical and analytical products to ensure professional quality and accuracy prior to Government submission.
