About The Position

Join a leading manufacturing site in Tullamarine, supporting critical facility and utility systems in a regulated (GxP) environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation, reliability, and optimisation of Execution Systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), Facility Monitoring Systems (FMS), Safety Systems, and Clean Utility Automation. You will play a key role in ensuring system performance and compliance, providing day-to-day operational support while also contributing to system upgrades, improvements, and site-based projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Automation, IT, or related discipline
  • Experience in automation within a manufacturing environment (Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, or other GxP preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with PLC and Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial networks
  • Understanding of batch control and system integration (ISA-88 / ISA-95 desirable)
  • Experience supporting live operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
  • Exposure to commissioning, validation, or project delivery activities
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in vendor, project, and design management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with platforms such as Siemens PCS7, Win CC, ABT Site, Desigo CC (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Own the operation, performance, and lifecycle management of BMS, FMS, Safety Systems, and Clean Utility Automation
  • Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA)
  • Ensure systems remain compliant with regulatory and site requirements
  • Lead and support system improvements, upgrades, and optimisation initiatives
  • Provide oversight of vendors and system integrators during maintenance and project activities
  • Support commissioning, validation, and implementation of system changes and upgrades
  • Maintain and improve system documentation, procedures, and standards
  • Enhance data availability, reporting, and analytics capabilities
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to resolve issues and improve performance
  • Contribute to site projects as a subject matter expert for automation and utility systems
