About The Position

Northbridge Insurance Senior Underwriters customize solutions for our personal lines clients. They work closely with our extensive broker network to develop unique solutions for all classes of risk. Our Senior Underwriters are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our brokers – this means emails and phone calls don’t go unanswered, and in-person broker meetings are regularly penned into their calendars. Working in a collaborative team, there is the opportunity for coaching, mentoring and development from our more experienced underwriters to help grow your appetite of risks.

Requirements

5+ years of Underwriting experience
Post-secondary school education and/or equivalent on the job experience.
Experience in the property and casualty industry an asset.
Working knowledge of underwriting manuals, policy contracts, rating programs, risk information sources, underwriting/technical manual information, statuary constraints, and computer workflow procedures.
Strong customer service background
Passionate about personal lines underwriting, problem-solving, critical thinking, customer service, and relationship-building.
