About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join the Futures Team and lead the next evolution of the Evinova Design System. This is a unique opportunity to shape an AI-first design system that will power rapid prototyping and high-velocity product development across the organization. In this role, you will play a foundational part in defining how the design system operates, how design and engineering collaborate, and how governance structures are established to support scale, speed, and quality. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of design and technology, partnering closely with Design Engineering to bring ideas to life. You’ll go beyond traditional design systems, creating scalable, code-aligned components that enable both human creativity and AI-driven workflows. You’ll have the chance to define how design works in an AI-enabled world, structuring design tokens, component architectures, and patterns that can be understood and leveraged by generative AI and agentic models. You’ll influence system-level decisions, ensure seamless alignment between Figma and code, and help build the foundation for next-generation design tooling and automation.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
  • Expert proficiency in Figma, including experience with design tokens, variables, and branching
  • Extensive hands-on experience across UX, UI, interaction design, and information architecture, with a strong systems-thinking mindset and a track record of designing complex, data- and workflow-driven products
  • Deep experience building and evolving design systems in close partnership with engineering to drive consistency, scalability, and delivery efficiency
  • Proven ability to align design artifacts with implementation models, including component APIs, slots, and compositional patterns
  • Experience delivering WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliant products, with accessibility and inclusive design embedded into everyday practice
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights, navigate ambiguity, and make informed design decisions within technical and regulatory constraints
  • Comfortable operating independently, taking ownership of complex challenges, and working in fast-paced B2B or B2B2C environments
  • Ability to adapt quickly, manage shifting priorities, and operate effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • Design leaders who influence through action: You lead by example, champion design system best practices, and build strong partnerships across design, engineering, and product to drive adoption at scale
  • Systems thinkers: You think in terms of structure and scalability, prioritizing coherence, abstraction, and reuse. You’re comfortable designing component models and composition patterns, not just individual screens
  • Technically minded designers: You’re excited to work in a code-aware environment, with a solid understanding of design tokens, component APIs, and how systems are implemented. You can structure Figma libraries to reflect real-world code architecture
  • Self-starters: You proactively identify gaps in processes and standards, propose improvements, and drive initiatives forward with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
  • AI-curious builders: You’re interested in how generative and agentic AI can enhance design workflows. You don’t need to be an expert, but you see AI and automation as an integral part of modern design systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or digital health environments
  • Experience designing AI-native products (e.g., recommendations, simulations) in close collaboration with data science and engineering teams
  • Familiarity with clinical trials and the drug development lifecycle
  • Diverse perspectives, including non-linear career paths and varied life experiences that enrich your approach to design
  • Proficiency in a second language (additional languages are a strong asset)

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Design, Engineering, and Product to define shared standards, resolve system-level challenges, and drive consensus on architectural decisions
  • Evolve Figma libraries to reflect a code-first component architecture, ensuring scalability, composability, and alignment with the implemented system
  • Enable AI-assisted workflows by structuring the design system to support generative layouts, design-to-code translation, and rapid prototyping
  • Refactor components and patterns to improve reuse, consistency, and scalability across multiple products
  • Embed WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards into component foundations, ensuring compliance is built in by default
  • Create clear, canonical documentation, usage guidelines, and release notes that support both designers and AI-enabled tooling
  • Conduct design QA across Storybook and live environments to ensure visual fidelity and provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering
  • Support product teams in adopting design system standards through working sessions, guidance, and real-world implementation support
  • Drive continuous improvement by gathering feedback, identifying gaps, and shaping the design system roadmap

Benefits

  • qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]
  • paid vacation and holidays
  • paid leaves
  • health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans
  • short-term incentive bonus opportunity
  • eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program
