About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Trust Associate to support a team of fiduciary professionals in administering a book of relationships in Special Needs Trust Services. This role involves implementing client estate plans and ensuring client accounts are managed in accordance with sound fiduciary principles and applicable law. The associate will develop and maintain a proficient understanding of basic fiduciary concepts and principles, including trust accounting and elements of a trust. Key responsibilities include executing client requests such as money movement, investment implementation, and ongoing account management. The role also requires developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Wells Fargo Trust systems and articulating Wells Fargo Trust's processes to internal partners. Additionally, the associate will develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of policies and procedures related to payments, account openings and closings, and asset transfers. The position demands a high level of organizational skills, including time and priority management, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within stated deadlines. Identifying fiduciary risk and suggesting solutions is also a key aspect, as is seeking involvement with infrastructure-related projects to improve business operations, client service, and risk management. The role requires independent communication with internal partners regarding client accounts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of administrative or sales support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Knowledge and understanding of opening new consumer & business deposit accounts, account maintenance, processing, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Technical Exceptions (TE)

Responsibilities
