About The Position

Amex GBT is seeking positive, energetic, highly skilled, customer-focused Senior-level Travel Counselors to join our Global Entertainment Client Hub as the Lead Travel Counselor. This team provides end-to-end, full-scope travel services for the highest-level travelers of our client account in the Entertainment, News/Media, and Sports professions. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and providing white-glove-level service. Top candidates will be proactive, motivated, accountable, always willing to jump in to lend a hand, and organized with excellent follow-through. Travel counselors will support global accounts, including booking for travelers in multiple countries.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 7+ years of customer service, including 5+ years as a travel counselor.
  • VIP, entertainment/production, publicity, news, and sports travel highly desired.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and active listening abilities.
  • Attention to detail with strong information-gathering skills.
  • Proficiency in complex international reservations, client policies, and processes.
  • Solid grasp of global routings and destinations.
  • Skilled in Sabre, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving technical environment.
  • Willingness to adjust shifts for coverage or global events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex travel requests (air, hotel, car, rail) for high-touch accounts and top-tier travelers.
  • Act as trusted advisor by offering creative, consultative recommendations tailored to the entertainment sector.
  • Handle special requests such as hotel upgrades, charter flights, artist riders, junkets, and production vehicles.
  • Apply client policies accurately across diverse travel types and expectations.
  • Deliver exceptional service with strong problem-resolution skills, including managing first-level complaints.
  • Collaborate with team to resolve issues, share knowledge, and support colleagues.
  • Provide feedback and innovative ideas to leadership.
  • Demonstrate professionalism with clear grammar and empathetic communication across channels.
  • Work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends as required.
